Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellow to grow thin films and conduct scanning probe microscopy experiments on strongly correlated, superconducting, and/or topological materials. You will be working in the group of Prof. Dragan Mihailovic at the Department for Complex Matter at Jozef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana, Slovenia (http://www-f7.ijs.si).
A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is required and the candidate should demonstrate high scientific motivation, excellent leadership, and teamwork, as well as very strong technical experience in at least one of the following areas: molecular beam epitaxy, scanning probe microscopy, low-temperature experiments, and/or ultra-high vacuum surface techniques.
The initial 12-month term of employment is normally renewable for one or two additional years and may be further extended depending on performance and availability of funds. If extended, responsibilities will expand accordingly.
The position is available in summer 2021.
